Honey bees play an important role on earth; without bees and their jobs of pollination we would not have 65% of the crops we eat today. 80% of flowering crops are pollinated by honey bees as well. So how long can humans survive without the honey bee? Leave this answer up to Albert Einstein:
No more bees = no more pollination = no more plants = no more animals = no more humans.
So what's happening today with the bee's? Honey Bee's are dying out. The so called "Colony Collapse Disorder" has wiped out 10 million beehives. Quartz reports, "Scientists at the University of Maryland and the US Department of Agriculture have identified a witch’s brew of pesticides and fungicides contaminating pollen that bees collect to feed their hives. The findings break new ground on why large numbers of bees are dying though they do not identify the specific cause of CCD, where an entire beehive dies at once."
Bee's are also affected by the pesticides that farmers are using. A detection of 35 different pesticides was found in a sample of bee pollen. Chemicals on crops kill bees.
Quartz also states that, “Bee populations are so low in the US that it now takes 60% of the country’s surviving colonies just to pollinate one California crop, almonds. And that’s not just a west coast problem—California supplies 80% of the world’s almonds, a market worth $4 billion.”
How to SAVE the bee's?
1. Plant a garden2. Plant wildflowers
3. Don't use pesticides
4. Spread the word about bee's: blog, share, tweet, post, speak!!!
5. Buy organic
6. Buy honey from local farmer's markets or any honey that supports the bee's
7. Get involved by signing petitions to ban pesticides and non-gmo foods.
8. Support anyone in favor of saving the bee's, any produce or items that give a % towards saving the bee's.
& here's something entertaining for you in support of the bee's:

Wow, it's crazy to think of how important bee's actually are to society. Very interesting topic to share about! I never would have appreciated them until now.
